This is maybe a bit inflated of a score compared to the other results we got in this review. The smaller the overlap between the yellow and green bars, the better the value for money. I’d still like a 3700x, but content with what I have so far, I just made this upgrade a week ago. The Ryzen 7 2700X is incapable of achieving higher memory speeds on the X470 chipset. I always find these reviews extremely interesting but don’t see them often. This should give you some really nice baseline info when the 4xxx series processors release to see how they all compare against each other. We knew this but this is much better data points since now both CPUs are mature with software and hardware, great stuff. In the graph above we are now testing Single-Thread performance. In PCMark 10’s standard benchmark the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X scores 7380 while Ryzen 7 2700X scores 6549. I look forward to seeing all of it together when that comes to pass.
